Job summary

Cedar is building the operating system for urban housing delivery and seeks a Chief of Staff to work directly with the CTO in San Diego. You will own the operating rhythm, ensure planning happens, and keep commitments on track while surfacing risks early.

This is a high-ownership, early-career role with broad surface area. You will be the engineering interface to Cedar, coordinating onboarding, hiring, and office logistics, and ensuring issues from the team land with clear owners and written

Qualifications

• Early career with 0–6 years experience, or an MBA seeking an operating role.
• Observant and proactive; notices issues before they surface.
• Highly organized; writes things down and follows through.

Responsibilities

• Run sprint planning and monthly planning; capture decisions and publish them.
• Plan weeks with high-value work; flag idle or misaligned efforts.
• Maintain accountability with the board; chase open commitments.
• Investigate unfinished work to prevent repeats; raise issues early.
• Interface engineering with Cedar and coordinate updates and requests.
• Coordinate interviews and manage a growing hiring pipeline.
• Handle onboarding, HR logistics, vendors, space, and team events.
