Job summary

PDM is seeking a diligent CAD/Drafting specialist to provide Revit modeling for production drawings and general engineering support. The role involves preparing piece drawings, updating Revit files, and ensuring outputs meet production and client standards.

Candidates should have a 2-year CAD degree or equivalent and be comfortable with Revit 2023 or newer, plus basic email/Windows computer literacy. This on-site position supports engineering, project management, production, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• Basic working knowledge of email and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to use Revit 2023 (or later).

Responsibilities

• Prepare piece drawings and details as required
• Make changes to Revit drawings as required or directed
• Provide general support assistance as required
• Quality of work – output must be accurately, clearly, and consistently prepared for use by production or the client
• Timeliness of work – maintain or exceed lead times to support the production schedule
• Monitor the production schedule regularly and maintain workflow for timely completion of deliverables
• Work closely with project manager/engineer/coordinator to solve casting and field problems
• Assist other drafters and project coordinators when they have schedule conflicts
• Work with project engineers, project coordinators, and checkers
• Be closely involved with PDM project management and production departments
• Be proactive with daily activities and schedules and willing to perform actions necessary to complete them
• Embrace and drive change
• Be respectful of PDM teammates and support teamwork amongst coworkers
• Demonstrate honest and ethical behavior in all business transactions
• Train under Engineers, Engineering Coordinators, Engineering Technicians, and/or Checkers

Position Summary:

Provide Revit modeling services for production piece drawings and provide general support services for engineering, project management, production and field support.

Requirements

• Education: 2 year Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) degree or equivalent
• Experience: No relevant work experience required.
• Knowledge & Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Ability to use Revit 2023 (or later).
  • Basic working knowledge of email and Windows operating systems.
