Job summary

Hendrickson is seeking an Engineer to join the Current Products Team in Woodridge, IL. The role focuses on managing all technical aspects of assigned projects, ensuring design validity and production readiness.

You will collaborate with CAD/FEA and lab personnel, drive continuous improvement, and meet deadlines. A BS in a technical discipline is required, with 4–6 years' vehicle structural design experience; exposure to dynamics and FEA is valued.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical discipline required.
• 4–6 years experience in vehicle structural design, preferably with heavy/medium duty trucks.
• Experience with dynamic structural analysis, FEA, fatigue analysis, and product design.
• Demonstrated product innovation.
• Electrical or brake experience a plus.
• Exposure to or training in vehicle dynamics desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a development project and meet deadlines.

• Designs, validates, provides test reports, and sign-off documents, and ensures production readiness.
• Coordinates with CAD, FEA, and laboratory personnel and interfaces with other department in support of the above.
• Coordinates the technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers.
• Provides continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement, and elimination of waste. Helps to assure safety in the lab and office.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

• Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline required.
• BSME/BSAgE/BS AeroE preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in vehicle structural design (preferable heavy or medium duty truck) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design.
• Demonstrated product innovation.
• Electrical or brake experience a plus.
• Exposure to or training in vehicle dynamics desirable.
• Vibration and controls background desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a development project and meet deadlines.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
