Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Engineering Assistant I to support engineering teams in data collection, analysis, documentation, and testing within a manufacturing setting at Florence, KY. The position requires pursuing or recent completion of an Engineering degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong foundational understanding of engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Support the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and test fixtures and JIGs
• Perform basic engineering calculations and simulations under supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to products or processes.
• Participate in prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
