Cell Therapy Product and Analytical Development (P&AD) is seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven (Senior) Associate Scientist to join its Critical Reagent Management team that values data quality, high productivity, and teamwork. In this individual contributor, lab-based role, the (Senior) Associate Scientist will work in a collaborative environment to perform various analytics testing for process development and product characterization to support Client cell therapy programs. This position will report to the Manager of Critical Reagent Management group. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience with various bioanalytical techniques including ELISA, qPCR, ddPCR and flow cytometry and the ability to interface with multiple groups, the ability to independently perform tasks, interpret results, and troubleshoot.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Execution of multiplexed cell-based assays (Elisa, AlphaLisa, Co-culture, Luminex, MSD, proliferation assays, etc.).
  2. Execution of vector assays and molecular assays.
  3. Data analysis and reporting with an emphasis on fast and high-quality data turnaround.
  4. Partnering with Method Development groups to support assay development, qualification, and transfer.
  5. Developing processes and methods to improve lab execution and data analysis efficiency.
  6. Timely and thorough documentation and completion of electronic laboratory notebooks.
  7. Author reports detailing experimental work and summarizing results.
  8. Ensure proper operation and perform routine maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
  9. Order, track, maintain inventory of lab supplies and reagents.
Required Qualifications
  1. Associate scientist requires BS in a scientific discipline with 4+ years (1+ years with MS) of relevant industrial experience.
  2. Solid knowledge of immunology and cell biology techniques and data analysis.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
  4. Demonstrated experience with qPCR, ddPCR and vector assays.
  5. Experience working in a self-driven, performance/results oriented, fast-paced matrix environment.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficiency utilizing MS Office products.
  8. Working knowledge of statistical software (R, JMP, Minitab) is preferred.
  9. Able to creatively manage time and elevate relevant issues to the supervisor.
  10. Strong scientific and technical writing and presentations.
  11. Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Flexibility to work rotating offset shifts (early morning, evening and/or weekend shifts).
