Qualifications

• 3 years' professional experience in engineering required.
• Engineer in Training credential is a plus.
• Experience related to aircraft carriers, naval ships, or large ship design, construction, or maintenance preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering, mathematical, and statistical analyses; prepare and present results.
• Use engineering software to perform analyses and develop new tools.
• Conduct and present results of engineering studies.
• Manage data and databases; ensure quality control and assurance for CPA data sources.
• Transfer data from external sources into CPA databases; perform data entry and document reviews.
• Develop processes and guides; respond to data calls and stakeholder queries.
• Schedule and host meetings; present findings to stakeholders.

Overview Job Title: Engineering / Architecture Analyst Location: Norfolk, Virginia

Job Description: Rivet Operations Company has an opening for an Engineering Data Analyst to join our growing team in the Norfolk, Virginia area. We are looking for a results‑driven Engineering to deliver top‑tier system administration for both physical and virtual environments. In this role, you’ll ensure smooth operation of servers, support data center and cloud infrastructure, and drive data analysis and management efforts. Be part of a high-energy team supporting critical Government IT operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform engineering, mathematical, and statistical analyses & studies; prepare and present results
• Use engineering and statistical software to perform analyses; assist in developing tools to perform analyses where none exist
• Conduct and present the results of engineering studies
• Perform engineering field work DATA, DATABASE, AND INFRASTRUCTURE
• Perform data and database quality control & assurance for the eCCIMS, eBCMP, and M&SWP databases, and other sources of data used by the CPA or as assigned
• Initiate change requests to update data or databases, make changes to data or databases
• Perform data analytics; run, prepare, present reports on the data & results of the analyses
• Develop new tools, products, and techniques for managing and displaying data
• Document new or changes to processes and instructions, develop process guides using Microsoft or other appropriate applications
• Respond to data calls and queries from internal & external stakeholders
• Schedule, host, and administrate meetings; Face-to-Face, telephone, or virtually via online connection
• Present at meetings
• Transfer data from external sources (paper or electronic) into CPA databases and sources of data
• Perform data entry
• Perform document reviews

Requirements Qualifications Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's level degree in Naval Architecture or Civil Engineering
• 3 years' professional experience in engineering
• Engineer in Training
• Experience related to aircraft carriers, naval ships, or large ship design, construction, or maintenance
• Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
