Job Description

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that strengthen Test House automation, improve engineering efficiency, and accelerate release readiness across connected device and network environments. The role combines hands‑on software development with test automation framework engineering, lab integration, and operational tooling. The ideal candidate has strong development experience in Java, Python, and JavaScript, along with practical knowledge of Wi‑Fi networks and the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of connected client devices in test environments.

This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.

Software Development & Platform Engineering

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications, services, APIs, and engineering tools using Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Build reusable components and services that improve Test House workflow automation, device management, data collection, and test execution. Participate in technical design, architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and the full software development lifecycle. Develop secure, maintainable, and resilient solutions that support lab and Test House operations.

Test Automation Framework Development

Design, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks for device, API, UI, network, and end‑to‑end validation. Develop automation that supports interoperability, longevity, stress, endurance, feature, and release validation testing. Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to provide repeatable execution and timely engineering feedback. Improve framework reliability, scalability, maintainability, reporting, and failure diagnostics.

Wi‑Fi & Connected Client Test Environments

Configure and maintain Wi‑Fi test networks and connected client environments used for automated and manual validation. Set up, onboard, and validate connected clients such as computers, mobile devices, streaming devices, smart‑home devices, and other network‑connected endpoints. Troubleshoot client connectivity, network configuration, device discovery, authentication, addressing, and communication issues within controlled test environments. Partner with lab and Test House teams to ensure environments, devices, and network dependencies are ready for reliable test execution. Develop automation and utilities that simplify connected‑client provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and recovery.

Observability, Reporting & Collaboration

Develop dashboards, logging, telemetry, and reporting solutions that improve visibility into test execution, failures, environment health, and release readiness. Partner with Development, Quality Engineering, Product, Lab Operations, and Test House teams to translate operational needs into software solutions. Document technical designs, framework usage, environment setup, and operational support procedures. Mentor less‑experienced engineers and contribute to software engineering and automation best practices.

Required Qualifications
