Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Community Design group in our Fort Worth office. Candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (sophomore or junior status preferred) and possessing a valid driver’s license are encouraged to apply.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred. In this internship, you will perform routine calculations under the supervision of a senior

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (sophomore or junior status preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calculations under senior engineer.
  • Obtain drawings from local municipalities.
  • Perform data analysis of continuous flow and rainfall data.
  • Copy and scan project related drawings.
  • Assist engineer with development of spreadsheet tools.
  • Ability to work with project managers and engineers and take direction from them.
  • Work with the Planning department.
  • Work with the Design (structural) department.
  • Work with the Hydraulic and Hydrology department.
  • Communicate effectively with engineering staff and clients.
  • Maintain excellent client relations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
