Job summary

Williams Companies in Houston seeks Senior/Staff Engineers to lead large-scale projects, develop technical standards, and mentor teams. You will interpret complex technical requirements and collaborate with leaders to drive business results while delivering presentations to executive stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have a PE license and ABET‑accredited degree with extensive natural gas or petrochemical industry experience, and a track record in project management and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program with PE license.
• Eight years of multifaceted engineering experience in natural gas or petrochemical industry (Senior).
• Fifteen years of progressive engineering experience (Staff).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and PC skills.
• Preferred: Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs sophisticated technical tasks and leads teams in projects of major scope and complexity.
• Participates in development and implementation of technical standards and specifications.
• Interprets technological aspects of business and coordinates with leaders to ensure success.
• Prepares and delivers presentations.
• Applies expertise and project experience to positively impact earnings.
• Collaborates with others to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs.
• Handles resources requirements for projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an Engineer Sr/Staff, you will apply your years of industry expertise and experience as you work independently on large-scale projects and anticipate business trends. You will collaborate with others to identify and develop innovative services or processes that address current and future customer needs and recommend improvements. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver presentations to leaders and may supervise team members in their work!

Education/Years of Experience:

Senior:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited college or university with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.




• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry and PE Certification.

Staff:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited college or university with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and fifteen (15) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.

Other Requirements:

Able to work on engineering specialties covering more than one subject area

• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority




• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills




• Preferred: Project Management experience
