Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Nuclear Site Procurement Eng team in Plant Hatch, GA (11-month contract). The role requires 10+ years of related experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree.

You will apply engineering processes and software tools to design and construct power-related systems, while supporting design options and construction specifications. You will also provide guidance and QA reviews for contractors, estimate preparation, and ensure a safe work environment

The Engineer SR position requires 10+ years of related experience and an accredited bachelor s degree.

Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems.

Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications.

Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.

Job responsibilities include creating a safe work environment by putting safety first, understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance, understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance, understanding design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design, understanding industry and Southern Company design standards, supporting design standard and criteria development for the system, supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations, estimating material for projects, transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications.
