Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and deploy large-scale solutions within the IT organization in Phoenix. You will write, test, and document code, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software that scales.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on performance, resiliency, and continuous improvement while adhering to Agile/SCRUM practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years designing, developing, and deploying large-scale production solutions.

Responsibilities

All you’ll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 3 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• Airline Industry experience
