The Software Engineer works with a team of other software engineers, network and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy software that meets customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. The Software Engineer participates in and leads architecture and design of various software components focused on creating applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, microservices, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms. They work on technical assignments that are semi-routine or greenfield in nature, recognizing the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. They typically follow established procedures on routine work and require instructions only on new assignments.

Job Responsibilities

1. Technical Engineering Services: Supports engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. Expected to supervise associate engineers on occasion. Understands system protocols, system operations, and data flows. Independently develops full software stacks, understanding building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required.
2. Technical Leadership: Collaborates with technical teams, utilizes system expertise, continuously learns new technologies, writes basic documentation, and contributes to system design and business requirements.
3. Technology Strategy: Contributes to emerging technologies, understands current technology supporting business goals, interacts with system engineers to define requirements for automation.
4. Innovation: Presents new ideas to improve systems/processes/services, reviews current processes for refinement, and stays updated with industry trends.

Base Pay Range: $92,500 - $166,800. Corporate Bonus Target: 15%. Actual pay varies based on location, qualifications, and experience.
