Job summary

Constellation Energy Corp. in New York State seeks a Nuclear Reactor Engineer to perform reactor engineering tasks in support of nuclear plant operations under supervision.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Engineering and have at least 3 years of nuclear or related engineering experience; must work toward obtaining QNE within 24 months and comply with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 3 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience.
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
  • The requirements as outlined above meet or exceed ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.6.1) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"

  • Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
  • Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications and all regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures.
  • Must obtain Qualified Nuclear Engineering (QNE) within 24 months of assuming the position.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

Expected salary range of $110,000 to $122,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).


Primary Purpose of Position
