Job summary

Getinge is seeking a QA/Test Engineer in a hybrid role based in Richfield, OH. The candidate will ensure product quality, write and execute tests, and report defects to developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize patient-safety technologies.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years in testing/system engineering, experience with SQL Server and NUnit, and strong problem-solving abilities in both web and Windows applications. Hybrid onsite work is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Testing and/or System Engineering experience with knowledge of business requirements and functional specs; creation of test plans and test cases.
• Experience writing unit tests (e.g., NUnit).
• Experience with risk-based decision making.
• System integration troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Testing both Web and Windows applications; familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product or service meets established quality standards (reliability, usability, performance).
• Write and execute tests; report issues.
• Document defects and report to developers.
• Develop testing programs addressing database impacts, test scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, and usability.
• Participate in product design reviews on requirements, designs and schedules.
• Track and report QA metrics.
• Define testing procedures with business and development teams.
• Support testing across multiple projects and releases (integration, system, regression, performance, UAT).
• Provide estimates for testing tasks and communicate QA status.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
• Responsible for the writing and execution of tests, and reporting of issues
• Document defects, using MS Team Foundation Server, and report defects to developers
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, test scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Track and report against established QA metrics
• Clearly define applicable testing procedures and expectations with business and development teams
• Support holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and product releases, including integration, system, regression, performance and user acceptance testing
• Provide estimates for testing tasks and responsibilities and communicate QA activity status
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience

• More than 5 years of Testing and/or System Engineering experience required, including understanding business requirements and functional specifications and creating test plans/test cases to provide adequate coverage of the Business Requirements and Functional Specifications.
• Experience writing unit tests (e.g., NUnit).
• Experience with risk-based decision making.
• System integration trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and writing T-SQL queries
• Experience with various methods of software testing to address areas such as database impacls, software scenarios, regression testing, end-to-end and integration testing, boundary/negative testing, error or defect retests, usability tests, and user acceptance tests.
• Testing both Web Applications and Windows Applications, and Miosoft Visual Studio.E
