Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. in Houston seeks a Project Engineer (I&E) to design and install process control systems for plant and pipeline facilities.

You will provide engineering support for control instrumentation, participate in upgrades, and help estimate project scope. The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, at least five years of experience with process control and I&E, and familiarity with DCS/PLC configurations, Burner Management and shutdown systems.

Qualifications

• A BS degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in process control and I&E for plant/pipeline facilities.
• Familiarity with documentation standards, basics and complex regulatory control, loop tuning, safety systems, DCS and PLC configuration is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design.
• Experience with Honeywell and Allen-Bradley PLC is preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work both independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and technical support for process control, instrumentation, and measurement technologies for projects.
• Participate in the design effort for control system upgrades, Burner Management System upgrades, and shutdown system upgrades.
• Providing guidance and support for process control project scope and estimates.
• Support the use of new standards, specifications, details, maintenance procedures, and documentation for plant and pipeline related projects.
• Participating in operational training as related to these systems.

The Project Engineer (I&E) will be responsible for designing and installing process control systems and related projects. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or related degree is required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience on implementation of process control systems and I&E related functions for plant and pipeline facilities is required.
• Working knowledge of industry standards for documentation, basics and complex regulatory control, loop tuning, safety systems, DCS and PLC configuration is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design.
• Basic experience with Honeywell and Allen Bradley PLC is preferred.
• Should be work both independently and with others in the organization.
• Ability to effectively communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to perform light work, able to lift minimum of 20 pounds occasionally, be able to climb a ladder, and be able to reach overhead, stoop, bend and twist while working.
