DeSimone Consulting Engineering seeks an Engineer to contribute to the structural design process across a variety of projects, under the guidance of senior team members. You will perform structural analysis, assist in design development, and support project delivery from concept through construction.

You will gain hands-on experience with design software such as Revit and Rhino, conduct field observations, prepare drawings and reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program and 1+ year of relevant coursework
• Internship experience with structural engineering firm on mid to high-rise projects
• Coursework in concrete, steel, wood and masonry design
• Must pass basic engineering skills test
• Ability to learn local and national building codes
• Knowledge of standard construction practices and working with contractors
• Proficiency in Rhino and Revit
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Detail-oriented with strong people and team skills

Responsibilities

About the Role:

As an Engineer at DeSimone Consulting Engineering, you’ll contribute to the structural design process across a variety of projects. Working under the guidance of senior team members, you’ll perform structural analysis, assist in design development, and support project delivery from concept through construction. What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET-accredited program and one (1) or more years of relevant coursework in structural analysis and design
• Internship experience with a structural engineering firm with exposure to mid to high-rise building projects
• Coursework in concrete, steel, wood and masonry design
• Must pass basic engineering skills test
• Ability to learn local and national building codes required for project work
• Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues
• Ability to work in Rhino and Revit
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Detail-oriented with strong people and team skills

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Master of Science Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 1-2 years of experience on mid to high-rise building projects
• EIT certification

The salary range listed reflects what we believe, in good faith, is a fair and competitive range for this role based on the market and location. This is a salaried, exempt position with an anticipated base salary range of $72,000–$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Most candidates are typically hired near the midpoint of the range, ensuring a balanced and equitable approach across our team.

In cases where a candidate brings significantly more experience or specialized expertise than required, we may consider an offer toward the higher end of the range.
