Job summary

ESN seeks an Engineer Mid on-site in Portsmouth, VA to support naval systems engineering for carrier hull, HM&E, aviation and shipboard systems. You will apply engineering principles, review installation drawings, and contribute to CMP maintenance and modernization efforts.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering, has 5+ years of experience (10+ preferred), and brings data analytics and lifecycle planning experience for large naval ships. A DoD SECRET clearance is required.

• Data analytics & maintenance/modernization experience related to aircraft carriers, naval ships, or large ship design/maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical/electronic, and naval architecture aspects of carrier hull and shipboard systems.
• Support development and management of CMP maintenance requirements and modernization.
• Ensure technical requirements and configurations are current within CMP programs.
• Collect, manage, analyze maintenance and risk data and submit findings for action.
• Develop life-cycle strategies for distributive ship systems and components.
• Develop, maintain and report metrics as required.

We are seeking an Engineer Mid.

Located on-site at Portsmouth, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support in the principles, techniques and practices of mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering and/or naval architecture as they relate to aircraft carrier hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E), aviation and electronic shipboard systems.
• These tasks require extensive knowledge in, but not limited to aircraft carrier maintenance philosophy, ship installation drawings, RCM principles and ship operations as well as the ability to organize data in a cohesive manner to submit finding for evaluation and action
• Provide technical support for the development and management and refinement of the non-nuclear CMP, BAWPs and modernization for execution during CVN availabilities.
• Requires ensuring technical requirements, periodicities and associated configuration are current within each assigned CMP maintenance requirement
• Collect, manage, and analyze data (e.g., maintenance, risk, material condition) of specified systems or components based on specific criteria and submit finding for evaluation and action
• Assist in development of life-cycle strategies for aircraft carrier distributive systems and select components
• Develop, maintain, and report metrics as required
