Fresh Consulting is seeking an Engineer Manufacturing Tooling II-III for onsite work in Merritt Island, FL. This contract role covers design, tooling development, and end-to-end project ownership across manufacturing tooling life cycles.

The position requires a BS in Engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing, and strong CAD/PLM skills with Creo and Windchill. GD&T expertise and basic engineering calculations are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of direct experience in manufacturing environments.
• Background in tooling design, fabrication processes, and vendor procurement.
• Hands-on proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Expertise in GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and basic engineering calculations (FBD, load cases, hand calcs).

Responsabilités

• CAD Design & Drafting: Create and release 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings following ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Tooling Development: Design assembly fixtures, material handling equipment, rotisseries, test fixtures, structural weldments, environmental chambers, and custom machinery.
• End-to-End Project Ownership: Manage tooling life cycles from concept to commissioning, including vendor selection, procurement support, fabrication, inspection, installation, and proof testing.
• Production & Rework Support: Set procurement and fabrication priorities, manage repair and rework tasks, and perform RCCA on nonconformances.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Integration Engineering teams to define material-handling and packaging requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• - CAD Design & Drafting: Create and release 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings following ASME Y14.5 standards.

Key Qualifications:

• - Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• - Experience: 3+ years of direct experience in manufacturing environments.
• - Tooling Expertise: Demonstrated background in tooling design, fabrication processes, and vendor procurement.
• - CAD & PLM Software: Hands-on proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• - Standards & Calculations: Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T per ASME Y14.5) and foundational engineering calculations (free-body diagrams, load cases, hand calcs).

Citizenship:

Must be a U.S. citizen or a Green Card Holder.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range is $50-$70 per hour.
