Position Overview

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer provides direct technical support to production operations, with a strong focus on resolving manufacturing problems and maintaining stable, capable, and efficient processes. The role works closely with operators, technicians, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to quickly identify production issues, pinpoint root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions. Key responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting metal‑mechanical manufacturing processes, assembly systems, torque applications, tooling, fixtures, pressure systems, and related production equipment. The position evaluates recurring production problems affecting safety, quality, throughput, downtime, and cost and develops solutions to improve overall process performance. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer reviews product designs and manufacturing requirements to identify potential issues related to manufacturability, assembly, materials, tooling, tolerances, and process capabilities. The role provides technical recommendations to improve existing and new products while incorporating lessons learned from current production issues into future manufacturing processes. Additional responsibilities include developing and updating process documentation and work instructions, establishing operating and workstation standards, supporting labor and process studies, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
