Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP seeks an Engineer Maintenance in Visalia, CA. This part-time position supports operation, maintenance and repair of hotel equipment, with a focus on guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate has hotel-related experience and a trade license is preferred.

The role requires a High School diploma, a valid California driver's license, and a clean MVR. You will perform routine tasks, respond to alarms, and collaborate with the Front Desk and supervisor to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record).

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Change out light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms (touch up paint, minor furniture repair, caulking, tile repairs).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen, laundry, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and spa.
• Perform plumbing and laundry equipment repair, inspect exhaust fans and supply, monitor energy use, service vacuums and small equipment.
• Follow up on alarms, determine status, report findings to Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Compensation Minimum: USD $22.00/Hr.

Compensation Maximum: USD $23.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation maintenance and repair of equipment.


• Change out light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms to include: vinyl repair touch up paint minor furniture repair tub caulking tile repairs etc.


• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines refrigerators kitchen equipment laundry equipment HVAC guestrooms meeting rooms the swimming pool and hot tub.


• Perform plumbing repair laundry equipment repair preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuum cleaners and any other small equipment upon request.


• Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause - determine emergency status and report to the Front Desk with findings.


• Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.


• High School diploma or equivalent required.


• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry etc.).


• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.


• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) property specific.
