Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) in Houston, TX is seeking an Engineer I to support engineering system design under close supervision.

You will perform design calculations, prepare cost estimates, reports, and deliverable drawings for multiple projects. Under supervision you will learn to apply criteria, research options, and assist with site investigations, while developing familiarity with relevant codes and tools like AutoCAD, MATLAB and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 0–1 year of experience preferred; EIT is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

Job Summary

Engineer I, under close supervision, assists with engineering system design during all phases of multiple, simultaneous projects by performing design calculations, specifications, interpreting and preparing reports, and preparing cost estimates, impact studies, permits and producing deliverable drawings.

• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or discipline-specific software.
• Competence in interpreting data, using statistics, and applying analytical tools.
• Understanding of timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation
