Job summary

Trinity Consultants in Tucson seeks an Engineer In Training to join the Mining and Industrial team. You will assist in designing fluid conveyance and processing systems, including dewatering and water treatment, gaining exposure to source water projects.

You will collaborate with project teams to prepare proposals, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, and support inspections, start-up, data collection, and site work. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • EIT registered or able to register.
  • Experience in an engineering environment preferred.
  • Experience with water distribution, storage, and supply systems preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and develop written proposals.
  • Assist in designs for mining and industrial fluid conveyance and processing systems (dewatering, reclaimed water, slurry, water treatment, source water).
  • Coordinate information flow between Trinity, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Develop relationships with current and future clients and vendors.
  • Assist with inspections, start-up, commissioning, data collection and sampling; travel as needed.

Our Engineering Department in Tucson is adding an Engineer In Training to their Mining and Industrial (M&I) team! The Mining and Industrial team focuses on a wide variety of fluid conveyance and processing systems and this position will offer exposure and training in the designing of dewatering, reclaimed water systems, process solutions, slurry systems, well fields, storm water controls, water treatment, and source water acquisition projects. You will be working closely with other Trinity project team members to provide support for and help design water/wastewater projects.

What will I be doing?
  • Helping to create and develop written proposals. Some technical writing may also be required.
  • Assisting in the development of mining and industrial fluid conveyance and processing system designs. This includes designing dewatering, reclaimed water systems, process solutions, slurry systems, well fields, storm water controls, water treatment, and source water acquisition systems.
  • Coordinating communication and the delivery of information between Trinity, our subcontractors, and our vendors with our clients.
  • Learning how to initiate and develop relationships with current and future clients and vendors.
  • Assisting senior staff with inspections, start-up, commissioning, data collection, and sampling. Must be willing to travel for short durations and work outside of the office environment.
What qualifications are required for this role?
  • A bachelor's degree and/or a master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • Must be registered, or be able to register, as an Engineer In Training (EIT).
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with water distribution, storage, and supply engineering system designs preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD software preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
  • The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $79,000 annually.
