The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in building automation system design and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Candidate must be located in Springfield, IL or surrounding areas.
The Controls Engineer will quickly gain an understanding and working knowledge of Veregy’s technology products and building automation systems. The engineer will utilize this understanding to design, implement, and optimize building automation systems that control various commercial systems including HVAC, lighting, access control, etc. The engineer will optimize control sequences to reduce energy consumption and increasing facility wide energy efficiency.
This position requires sitting for periods of time at a computer with the freedom to walk around office when necessary; occasional phone, copy machine, and other office machine use; participate in teleconferences using a headset/earpiece, and lifting to 50 lbs. as needed.
