Verdantas is seeking a Water & Wastewater Staff Engineer II to join our Akron, OH or Mentor, OH offices in a hybrid capacity. You will support design, modeling, and field activities for essential water systems, collaborating with Project Managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

We require a civil or environmental engineering degree (ABET-accredited), 2+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Competenze

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a water/wastewater emphasis.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• 2+ years of water & wastewater or related civil engineering experience.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to support innovative water and wastewater projects in Ohio. In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced Project Managers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that improve essential infrastructure for communities. From preparing reports and hydraulic models to developing design plans and participating in field investigations, you’ll play a key part in shaping sustainable water systems while advancing your technical expertise. What You’ll Do:* Assist Project Managers with engineering design for water and wastewater facilities requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks* Perform technical engineering work associated with water and wastewater engineering including:* Prepare engineering reports and feasibility studies* Prepare engineering-related calculations and visual aids* Develop hydraulic models and perform engineering analysis* Participate in field investigations* Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections* Complete various permitting applications* Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, and contractors* Provide construction administration of water and wastewater projects* Some mentoring and delegation of work tasks to junior staff What You’ll Bring:* Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater or other related field* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred* 2+ years of experience in water & wastewater or related civil engineering projects including design, analyses, and studies* Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat* Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required* Familiarity with computer models for hydraulic system analysis* Must possess a valid driver’s license**Salary Range:**The minimum salary for this position is $85,000 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications).**Benefits:*** Flexible Work Environment* Paid Parental Leave* Medical* Dental* Vision* Life and AD&D Insurance* Short-Term and Long-Term Disability* 401(k) with Company Match* Paid Time Off + Holidays*Verdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
