Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Point Mugu, CA, seeks a Senior Analyst Support/ Lab Lead to manage environmental test labs, ensure safety and compliance, and support supply chain and engineering teams. This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance and experience in lab operations.

You will lead lab procedures, oversee EH&S programs, test hardware (vibration, thermal, shock), prepare technical docs, and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and customers to meet schedule and budget goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a university degree or equivalent experience with minimum 2 years in relevant work.
• Experience in hardware and environmental testing including dynamic shock/vibration and climatic/structural assessments.
• Experience developing Environmental Stress Screening vibration and thermal profiles.
• Familiarity with lab environments, safety, and property management.

Raytheon's Systems Integration & Test Environment center is seeking a Senior Analyst Support/ Lab Lead to manage and implement environmental test projects, as well as oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of multiple engineering and environmental test labs. This role will focus on ensuring safety, security, and compliance in alignment with established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In this position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when implementing process and procedural changes.This position is in Point Mugu, CA.

What You Will Do

• Manage Lab Operating Procedures (LOPs) by providing directions for lab users on established policies.
• Manage, coordinate, and implement Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainment programs.
• Oversee Property & Metrology Management to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Conduct cost analyses and ensure task completion within approved budgets.
• Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM).
• Oversee audit and assessment preparation.
• Lead Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and long-term objectives aligned with engineering customer goals.
• Safeguard classified/proprietary materials, hardware, and documentation in compliance with Export Administration Regulations.
• Develop and implement communication plans; provide consulting support to functional and engineering management.
• Influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
• Work autonomously with limited oversight, offering professional input, guidance, and problem-solving expertise.
• Perform tasks requiring physical exertion, such as standing, walking, and occasional outdoor work.
• Plan and conduct hardware tests, including vibration, mechanical shock, thermal, altitude, humidity, and structural testing, along with dynamic and thermal data analysis.
• Coordinate test fixture design and prepare technical documentation, such as test plans, schedules, reports, and archival technical records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, structural analysis, manufacturing, and commercial customers, to meet technical, financial, and scheduling goals.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in hardware and environmental testing, including dynamic shock/vibration, climatic, and structural assessments
• Prior experience developing Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) vibration and thermal profiles
• Experienced in one or more of the following areas: signal processing, data acquisition, field test instrumentation, or structural testing
• Experienced with engineering lab environments, including safety protocols, compliance requirements, and property management
• Experienced in laboratory safety practices and 6S (housekeeping) principles

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations
• Experience working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management
• Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination
• Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
