Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions is seeking a Production Engineer in Osceola, AR to optimize plant operations and safety while driving sustainable performance at the site.

You will evaluate equipment, lead projects from concept to completion, and collaborate across disciplines to maximize output; design adaptable configurations and support control systems; contribute to Lean initiatives and process improvements at the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Internship, co-op, manufacturing, or industrial experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with PLCs and industrial control systems is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
• Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) environments is preferred.
• Experience with Management of Change (MOC) procedures is desired.

Responsibilities

• Continuously evaluate equipment, process operations and controls to ensure personnel safety, environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
• Take on individual plant projects from conception to completion.
• Work closely with all disciplines, troubleshooting problems to ensure plant processes are aligned to provide maximum output and efficiencies.
• Design plant and equipment configurations to be readily adapted to suit product ranges and process technologies.
• Provide control system designs, specifications, process control parameters, system testing, and start-up assistance.
• Maintain engineering records including creating and modifying P&IDs, PFDs, and SOPs.
• Install and commission new equipment, monitor developments, troubleshoot, manage contractors and document process changes and additions.
• Support new product development from trial through to commercialization and improving production lines.
• Responsible for continuous and process improvement at the site.
• Develop and lead the plant Lean initiatives.

What You'll Do:

What you will do:

• Continuously evaluate equipment, process operations and controls to ensure personnel safety, environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance
• Take on individual plant projects from conception to completion
• Work closely with all disciplines, troubleshooting problems, to ensure plant processes are aligned to provide maximum output levels and efficiencies
• Design plant and equipment configurations to be readily adapted to suit the product ranges and the process technologies involved, taking safety, environmental and economic aspects into account
• Provide control system designs, specifications, process control parameters, system testing, and start-up assistance
• Maintain engineering records including creating and modifying Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, and supporting development of operations and maintenance standard operating procedures
• Install and commission new equipment, including monitoring developments and troubleshooting as well as managing contractors and documenting process changes and additions
• Support new product development from trial through to commercialization and improving production lines
• Responsible for continuous and process improvement at the site
• Develop and lead the plants Lean initiatives

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred; relevant technical or manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply
