Job Summary

The Process Improvement Engineer supports the Production team in the Filling and Assembly process. In this role, you will help drive continuous improvement across industrial operations by developing, implementing, and ensuring conformity of the cosmetic production processes.

This position provides leadership, strategic direction, and improvement initiatives that strengthen operational performance, product quality, and cost efficiency. This may involve optimizing current production processes and technologies or improving packaging components.

This role requires strong project ownership and the ability to coordinate with cross‑functional team members to ensure tasks are completed on time. Success in this position also depends on adaptability in fast‑changing environments, sound judgment, and a willingness to explore new approaches that enhance the organization’s competitive advantage.

What You Will Do
  • Identify and analyze opportunities in production operation process driving improvement of performance, quality, and cost.
  • Review and approve technical engineering process and drawings for components/assemblies.
  • Perform statistical analysis from testing data to assess specification values.
  • Attend line trials and process validation.
  • Support and perform BOM (Bill of Materials) changes for existing products (new products, artwork updates, material changes, new tertiary pack outs).
  • Drive projects with full ownership and hold accountability on team members to ensure all steps of the timeline are met.
  • Initiate and resolve queries from other functions in a timely manner and communicate escalating issues when appropriate.
Who You Are
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Package Engineering or another Engineering discipline (mechanical, material science).
  • Possess 1‑2 years of experience in Production operation in Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals or Consumer Goods companies (preferred).
  • Have knowledge of filling and assembly processes and high‑speed machines.
  • Are a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt at minimum.
  • Have basic knowledge of molding processes, resins, and package testing methods.
  • Have basic knowledge of CAD software and 3D printing.
  • Be aware of cross‑functional and regional impact of decisions.
  • Can handle multi‑task launch projects with limited supervision and support.
  • Appreciate the importance of on‑time and quality delivery of projects to business partners.
  • Can network and work in a team environment.
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Take initiative and drive clarity and resolution.
  • Adapt to fast‑changing environments.
  • Predict, recognize, and define meaningful corrective actions to problems.
  • Be willing to take risks and consider new approaches to improve the organization’s competitive position.
Physical Requirements
