Responsibilities

  • Ensure buildings, pools, spas, and related equipment are maintained safely and cleanly per regulations.
  • Perform maintenance tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repairs.
  • Test and balance pool/spa water chemistry to SNHD standards.
  • Calibrate and monitor automated chemical controllers.
  • Maintain pool systems and equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on pool-related equipment.
  • Service pool equipment to ensure guest comfort and safety.
  • Record maintenance activities and safety checks accurately.

Role: The Pool Technician is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring the proper operation of all pools and water features on the property. The duties and responsibilities listed are intended to illustrate the general nature of the work performed and are not meant to be all - inclusive. Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Minimum one year experience maintaining commercial pools and spas preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to properly adjust and balance pool and spa water chemistry.
    • Basic knowledge of general building maintenance.
    • Strong problem - solving and basic troubleshooting skills.
    • Commitment to maintaining personal and team safety at all times.
    • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), occupational hazards, and applicable safety practices.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Ensure all buildings, pools, spas, and related equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly condition, in accordance with all applicable Health, Fire, and Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) regulations.
  • Perform a variety of basic maintenance functions, which may include carpentry, glazing, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical repairs, painting, masonry, safety inspections, security checks, and general sanitation tasks.
  • Test, adjust, balance, and maintain pool and spa water chemistry to meet or exceed SNHD standards, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all guests and employees.
  • Calibrate, monitor, and maintain automated chemical controllers, ensuring accurate and consistent chemical dosing and reporting.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace pool and spa systems and equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, valves, circulation systems, and other mechanical components.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all pool, spa, and water - feature equipment to maximize performance and extend equipment life.
  • Maintain and service the pool mister system, ensuring proper function, cleanliness, and guest comfort during operation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of pool decks, drains, safety equipment, railings, and surrounding areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs and take corrective action promptly.
  • Respond to maintenance work orders and guest service requests in a timely, professional, and customer - focused manner.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures, documenting findings and communicating maintenance or replacement needs to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, following established protocols for chemical handling, equipment operation, and facility access.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records, including chemical readings, maintenance activities, repairs, and regulatory documentation.
  • Assist in projects and improvements related to pool facilities, including seasonal preparation, renovation tasks, and installation of new equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support smooth facility operations and outstanding guest experiences.
