Today, we are 100% employee owned with 190 employee-owners across 4 offices in southern California, and our services have expanded to include Survey and Mapping, Stormwater Management and Water Quality, and Geospatial Technology.

As employee owners, we are dedicated to the success of the firm—when the firm does well, we do too! Our company culture emphasizes training and mentorship of all employees, and transparency and communication on the performance and growth of the firm.

If our firm resonates with you, apply now! We are seeking a Sr. Engineer I/II to support our LA office.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn, motivated to do more, and can work well independently and on a team. Our employees are known for their strong technical design skills and being well versed in all phases of land development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the development process, from due diligence, preliminary design through entitlements, permitting, and construction.
  • Act as the central design figure on a team for major aspects of projects, such as rough and precise grading plans, hydraulics, hydrology, water, sewer, and storm drain.
  • Consider project constraints, perimeter conditions, project goals, agency standards, and engineering best practices in developing project designs.
  • Assist with construction administration, including RFI's, submittals, and construction changes.
  • Train and provide technical assistance to junior staff.
  • Prepare technical reports and perform complex calculations related to hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, stormwater detention, and utility sizing.
  • Perform complex grading design and earthwork calculations.
  • Provide complete deliverables to TM or PM or externally, including full QAQC and checking for completeness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university. Minimum years of experience can range from 5 to 7 years depending on previous land development design experience.
  • Minimum two years independently solving complex engineering problems within land development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, LDD and/or Civil 3D software required.
  • EIT Certification.

Benefits:

  • Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).
  • 401k with company match.

  • Alternative work schedule (half day Fridays!) + hybrid office schedule after 90 days of employment.

  • Life/AD&D/LTD.
  • Paid vacation, sick, and holidays.

Approved Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000
