Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Boston is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineering Graduate to join the ICT group. You will learn from senior engineers, contribute to multi-disciplinary designs, and participate in projects that span worldwide.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a Winter 2026 to Summer 2027 graduation window and includes an Engineer Development Program (EDT) with mentorship and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with graduation Winter 2026, Spring or Summer 2027.
• Internship or prior engineering exposure is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP; REVIT experience is welcome.
• Proficiency in design and calculation software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams on inspired, collaborative designs across projects.
• Enroll in the firmwide EDT program and attend seminars.
• Conduct field inspections and assist in due diligence, feasibility studies, and reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and design teams.
• Create basic CAD/BIM designs and perform system calculations.
• Learn multidisciplinary design practices and documentation workflows.
• Develop understanding of ICT networks, LAN/WAN fundamentals, and Wi‑Fi basics.
• Assist with system upgrades and retrofits for various project types.

Job Responsibilities:

As an entry level engineer, you will support our engineering teams working towards our designs that are inspiring, demanding and highly collaborative. You will learn from others, and they will expect to learn from you. You will share in the responsibility, rewards, and recognition of producing truly innovative solutions and complete client satisfaction.

Some responsibilities include:

• Enroll in the firmwide EDT program.
• Attend continuing education seminars on technical or professional enhancing topics.
• Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinating new work and assisting Senior team members in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis and other technical reports and drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and working in close contact with the entire design team.
• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior team members, performing CAD/BIM drafting, equipment selections, systems calculations for a variety of projects and project sizes to begin to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
• Begin to be cross trained in multidisciplinary designs and supporting design production of drawings, calculations, research, reports, analysis, and specification.
• Have a basic understanding of network connectivity, LAN, WAN fundamentals and other ICT trades fundamentals.
• Have a basic understanding of Wi‑Fi infrastructure, WAPs, controllers. Learning and mastering drawing organization and company standards.
• Support the design and engineering efforts of systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement and system upgrades for a wide variety of projects and project types.

Taking ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assignments

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will enjoy a team environment and be flexible enough to work independently where needed. Candidates for this role will be eager to learn and will expand their knowledge and hands‑on experience by challenging themselves and using the highly technical resources around them.

Additional job requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a graduation date of Winter 2026, Spring or Summer of 2027
• Previous engineering internship, a plus
• Knowledge in the latest version of MEP Auto CAD; REVIT experience is a plus
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite

Salary Range

The salary range listed below is for this particular job posting. Actual pay range for candidates will be commensurate with candidate’s experience, skillsets and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular location.

Boston Pay Range: $68,788 — $97,182 USD
