Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Engineer to perform basic calculations and assist with project progress. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and analyze designs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer specifications.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 0–2 years of related experience, with strong CAD skills and clear communication. This is an on-site position in Birmingham, AL with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Zero to two years of related experience.
• Competent use of CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned.
• Collaborates with other employees to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems.
• Assists in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.
• Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills and training.
• Recommends and designs components and systems of components meeting customer specs.
• Uses CAD drawings, schematics, layouts, load calculations, stress analysis to assist with projects.
• Ensures processes comply with regulatory and safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
