Job summary

PDS Health is seeking an Engineer, Data Management and Analytics to support data solutions, analysis, and reporting. You will apply system analysis techniques to determine hardware, software, and system specifications and collaborate across stakeholders to deliver scalable data flows.

Responsibilities include building and optimizing data pipelines, validating data quality, and supporting data infrastructure such as data warehouses and data lakes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience in related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in database development, OLTP, Data Warehouse/Dimensional modeling, cloud data platforms, pipelines, agile, and source control.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Data Warehouse Product Owner and Business System Analyst to understand business needs and write user stories.
  • Work with Sr Engineer and Data Architect to develop data flows and pipelines.
  • Build data pipeline flow to load data from various sources and apply complex business logic to normalized/denormalized structures.
  • Diagnose and fix data pipelines, data quality, and accessibility issues.
  • Manage and optimize data warehouse, data lake, and other data infrastructure components.
  • Develop and implement data validation rules, monitor systems, and maintain data lineage for accuracy and reliability.
  • Implement automation to streamline data workflows and reduce manual effort.

Overview

The Engineer, Data Management and Analytics assist with data solutions to support PDS Health data, analysis, and reporting needs. The Engineer applies system analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Data Warehouse Product Owner and Business System Analyst (BSA) to understand the business needs and collaborate to write user stories.
  • Collaborate with Sr Engineer and Data Architect to develop data flows.
  • Build data pipeline flow to load data from various data sources and apply complex business logic to populate normalized and denormalized data structure.
  • Diagnose and fix data pipelines, data quality, and data accessibility issues.
  • Manage and optimize data warehouse, data lake, and other data infrastructure components.
  • Develop and implement data validation rules, monitor systems, and data lineage tracking to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Implement automation to streamline data workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study from an accredited college or university. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of professional experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in database development, Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Data Warehouse and Dimensional, Cloud Data Platform, building and maintaining data pipelines, agile methodologies, and source control (Bitbucket/Git/Github), and software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in programming languages – SQL, Python, Scala

Preferred

  • Experience integrating Epic (Clarity/Caboodle) data models or related healthcare data.
  • Experience in Microsoft SSIS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience using Python for data integration and analysis.
  • Experience with data observability tools and anomaly detection frameworks.
  • Exposure to MLOps practices and model data pipeline support.
  • Experience with Kafka or streaming ingestion frameworks
  • Experience using AI copilots or automation tools in development workflows
  • Experience with Cloud Lakehouse experience for any of the Cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Enterprise orchestration tools – like Airflow, Dagster.
