Job summary

South Jersey Gas is seeking an Engineering professional to perform general design tasks, assist on permit applications, prepare drawings, and apply standard techniques for gas service projects. The role collaborates with internal customers and design vendors to ensure accurate engineering outputs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and AutoCAD familiarity, with Engineer‑in‑Training certification preferred, joining a team focused on safe, reliable energy

• Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• AutoCAD experience preferred for CAD design tasks.
• Engineer-in-Training certification preferred for career progression.

Responsibilities

This typically includes planning, designing and estimating time and cost, and overseeing construction of facilities. This also involved developing and applying engineering standards and procedures, and providing advice on issues within the engineering field. Additionally, this role may need to be able to apply Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques to generate and interpret engineering designs in support of assigned projects.Roles within Engineering are responsible for a variety of engineering services functions that could include construction, systems engineering, design support, or similar engineering support activities. This includes ensuring the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of all engineering services projects. This also includes the preparation of new or modified designs.
