Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance to ensure the hotel meets quality and sustainability standards while guests are treated warmly. Responsibilities span room inspections, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair with an emphasis on safety and code compliance.

The role includes maintaining maintenance records and supporting guest satisfaction goals, with potential to cover bell duties during staffing shortages.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture and theatre equipment.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps and perform preventive maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform work in compliance with local, state and Federal codes.
• Support guest satisfaction by contributing to upkeep standards.
• Be prepared to assist as bell attendant during shortages or peak periods.

Your Focus

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.


• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.

• Repair furniture.

• Trace and repair all types of water lines.


• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.


• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.


• Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.


• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.


• Work as a bell attendant in the event of staffing shortages or during peak check in/out periods.


• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.


• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.


• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.


• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• High School diploma and Trade school course work in related field preferred.


• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.
