Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking an Engineer to perform preventative and repair maintenance to keep the hotel in top condition while delivering friendly guest service. The role supports growth through a path from engineer to supervisor roles and beyond.

Key duties include inspecting rooms, repairing walls, electrical fixtures, plumbing, HVAC pumps, and kitchen equipment, while maintaining records and complying with codes. Flexibility for peak periods and guest-focused service is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; trade school coursework preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Repair and maintain HVAC pumps; conduct preventive maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Aim to improve guest satisfaction scores.
• Assist as bell attendant during staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits and wear safety equipment.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Engineering Supervisor – Chief Engineer – Area Chief Engineer

Your Focus

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps as well as preventative maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair all types of water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Work as a bell attendant in the event of staffing shortages or during peak check in/out periods.
• Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills
