Key Responsibilities
- Designs and develops system architectures and defines key capabilities and performance requirements.
- Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications.
- Develops thorough definition of system external interfaces.
- Defines system implementation approach and operational concept.
- Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customers.
- Develops thorough definition of system requirements and requirement verifications.
- Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
- Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of related disciplines.
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Develops technical solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.
- Works with considerable latitude in determining technical objectives without appreciable direction.
- Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
- Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects.
- Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Qualifications
Base Level
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related experience.
- Must provide final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time.
- Must have experience with electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and/or systems for commercial, industrial, and/or domestic purposes.
- Must have experience in electrical wiring design and troubleshooting system installations.
Principal Level
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 1 year of related experience.
- Must provide final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance within a reasonable period of time.
- Must have experience with electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and/or systems for commercial, industrial, and/or domestic purposes.
- Must have experience in electrical wiring design and troubleshooting system installations.
Preferred Qualifications
- AutoCAD Electrical Design Experience.
- NX capital Manufacturing/liaison support experience to support build and installation of assemblies and testing of aircraft systems.
- Experience in developing and managing test requirements.
- Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration.
- Knowledge of aircraft-type cable assemblies, MIL type wiring and components (e.g., MIL connectors, back shells, relays, switches, indicator lights, terminal junction system components) using system-level functional architecture and input from System Lead or Cognizant Engineer.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 – $118,900.00. Principal Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 – $147,600.00. Salary is determined by scope, responsibilities, and candidate experience. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and Long Term Incentives. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off. Flexible work arrangements: 9/80 schedule with alternate Friday off.
