Houston Engineering, Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to support our Structural team. This is a field-and-office role for recent graduates, involving outdoor construction activities and in-office engineering tasks.

The position targets individuals with 0-3 years of civil engineering experience and a BS in Civil Engineering, offering hands-on exposure to complex grade separation projects, bridges, and hydraulic structures in the region.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 0-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and ArcGIS is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Superior task management skills, including scheduling and prioritizing.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

• Assist with plan specifications and estimates as well as documenting construction activities.
• Assist with AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings and update redlines with various project set drawings.
• Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.

• Potential observation and data collection at different project sites.
• Assist with research, development and design of projects.
