Job summary

CVS Health is actively seeking a Digital Development Engineer II to improve reliability, resilience, availability, and performance of critical applications and infrastructure. The role will establish and mature SLIs, SLOs, monitoring and alerting to ensure dependable software delivery.

The candidate will participate in incident response, analyze releases for risks, identify dependencies, and partner across teams to drive reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in software engineering and backend development.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies.
• CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Splunk / centralized logging.
• Monitoring, alerting, SLIs and SLOs.

Responsibilities

The Digital Development Engineer will establish and mature SLIs, SLOs, monitoring, and alerting for applications.

Responsibilities

• The right candidate will participate in production incident response, troubleshooting, stabilization, root-cause analysis, and MTTR improvement
• Analyze major releases and production changes for potential availability and reliability risks
• Identify application dependencies and potential failure points across distributed systems
• Develop and implement resiliency and testing strategies for applications and infrastructure
• Partner with application, platform, infrastructure, and business teams to drive reliability improvements
• Contribute to CI/CD and automation workflows that enable reliable software delivery
• Help drive SRE principles and reliability practices across engineering teams

Experience & Skills

Full time Pay Range

83,430.00 - $166,860.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
