Job summary

Kelvion Inc. is seeking an Engineering Detail Draftsman in Oklahoma to design and detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication, including bundles, plenums, columns, ladders and platforms.

You will work with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel to ensure accurate 3D assemblies and 2D parts drawings. Education options include a High School Diploma or GED with CAD coursework and 3+ years of drafting experience, or an Associate’s degree with 1+ year experience in structural steel

Qualifications

• Must have CAD drafting experience in heat exchanger or structural steel drafting.
• High school diploma with CAD classes and 3+ years drafting experience OR an associate degree with 1+ year drafting experience.

Responsibilities

• Detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication.
• Prepare shop detail drawings including bundles, plenums, columns, ladders and platforms.
• Communicate with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel.
• Apply knowledge of welded steel fabrication practices.

The Role

Design and detailing of air cooled heat exchangers involving mechanical design and fabrication details by performing the following duties.

Engineering – Engineering Detail Draftsmen

What you will be responsible for:

• Detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication.
• Prepare shop detail drawings, including bundle assemblies, plenums, columns, ladders and platforms.
• Communicate with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel.
• General knowledge of welded steel fabrication practices.
• Drafting skills – 3D assembly and part modeling, 2D parts drawings and flat patterns
• Computer skills must include Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with American Petroleum Institute 661.
• Familiar with OSHA requirements regarding walkways, handrails, stairs and equipment guards.
• Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required Levels)

Must have a minimum of either:

• High School Diploma or GED Certification with Fundamentals and Principles of CAD Design classes and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in heat exchanger and/or structural steel drafting;

Or

• Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting and Design with a minimum of one (1) year experience in structural steel fabrication drafting.
