North Mississippi Health Services seeks a Cyber Security Engineer to design and maintain secure systems protecting the organization's digital infrastructure. You will lead threat modeling, implement security controls in AWS/Azure/GCP, and collaborate with DevOps to embed security in CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with NIST/ISO/CIS frameworks, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment in Tupelo, MS.

Competenze

Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Science required.
Master's Degree in Computer and Information Science not required.
CISSP certification required.

Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation strategies.
Architect secure network and system configurations, including segmentation, DMZs, and zero-trust models.
Implement and manage security controls in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IAM, encryption, and logging.

Generate reports for stakeholders and compliance purposes.

Job Description:

The Cyber Security Engineer at NMHS is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems that protect the organization's digital infrastructure. This role requires advanced expertise in network security, threat detection, incident response, and secure system architecture. The engineer must demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills, work independently with minimal supervision, and quickly adapt to emerging technologies.

Knowledge of secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, and application-layer defenses.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP security models, including IAM, encryption, and monitoring.
Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks.
