Job summary

Walter P Moore is seeking an engineer to join our Construction Engineering team in a hybrid firm position. You will work on steel design, connections, and structural analysis, while managing projects and coordinating with contractors and clients across the United States and internationally.

Candidates should have 3+ years' relevant experience, a Master's in Civil Engineering (structural preferred), and a P.E. license or plan to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in steel design, steel connection design and structural analysis.
• Project management experience is required.
• Experience with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors is preferred.
• Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural preferred.
• P.E. license in residing state or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with Tekla and BIM is a plus; SAP 2000 modeling a plus.

Responsibilities

Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for an Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Engineering team. The qualified candidate will have at least 3 years' relevant experience working on steel design, steel connection design and structural analysis. Project management experience is required.

The qualified candidate should possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated project manager who can work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally. Technical specialization, proactivity and aggressiveness when meeting client and project needs, are pluses.

Clients will include architects, developers, institutions, and contractors. In addition to all the skills listed above, the qualified candidate should possess a strong "can-do" customer service attitude.

Qualifications

• 3 + years' experience in steel design, steel connection design and structural analysis
• Demonstrated career growth that includes project management experience
• Work experience with contractors, steel fabricators, or steel erectors strongly preferred
• Master's in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural strongly preferred
• P.E. license within you residing state, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
• Experience with Tekla and Building Information M.odeling (BIM) a plus

The actual offered salary will be dependent on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, industry experience and internal equity.
