Job summary

Intralox, L.L.C. in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Engineer for the Commercial Test Group. Responsibilities include product testing, testing field equipment design, fabrication and assembly of test equipment, and support of other Intralox groups including the Tradeshow Team.

We require a BS in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics or related field, excellent communication, and hands-on skills. Travel approximately 10–20% is expected, including weekends and holidays.

• Support, develop and promote modular plastic belt through application specific testing.

• Provide 3D design support to sales for test equipment and prototyping solutions.
• Maintain database of historical testing results and FAT documentation.
• Assist Tradeshow Team with equipment design reviews and testing; travel as needed.
• Follow safety procedures on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop and promote modular plastic belt through application specific testing.
• Achieve client requirements through theory, application, and use of Intralox product line.
• Test and set-up for customer visits ·Support Account Managers in the selling and implementation of conveyance solutions.
• Generate reports reflecting significant test results and methodology.
• Provide 3D design support to sales teams for design of new test equipment and products for test/prototype applications.
• Maintenance of database of historical documentation of testing results.
• Support the Tradeshow Team with equipment design reviews, commissioning, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), testing, and tradeshow set-up/support (travel is required).
• Test database maintenance of historical documentation for testing results.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies while on the production floor.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or related engineering degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Goal oriented team player with a positive& proactive attitude, with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and organized.
• Hands on technical skills; tools, machinery, fasteners, etc.
• Equipment set up experience is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite) with exposure to 3D modeling software (Solidworks).
• Ability to travel approximately 10-20%, including weekends and holidays; mostly predictable and scheduled.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with team members and with internal and external customers, including management, engineers, and plant personnel.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and interest - ability to research, understand, and communicate concepts associated with a given technology.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and resources.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely, and work standing for an extended period in an unconditioned warehouse.
