Job summary

Intertek in Cortland, NY seeks an Engineer to perform calibration and support in the Design group. Calibration extends to internal & external needs on equipment to the provisions of ISO 17025, A2LA, and other mandatory accredited certification bodies required.

Writing reports, reviewing data and calibration certificates, communication with external calibration services and managing internal & external databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• No experience required - recent college grads considered.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license and reliable driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, diagnostic and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and/or equipment.
• Coordinate the repair of instrumentation and calibration of equipment with 3rd Party Vendors.
• Ensure timely turn-around time on all instrumentation and equipment calibration services.
• Conduct equipment review following the return of calibrated equipment.
• Maintain accurate calibration records.
• Maintain instrumentation and/or equipment list(s).
• Ensure that preventative maintenance of equipment is performed in a timely and effective manner.
• Review all calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Create or maintain Calibration Certificates.
• Perform or assist in performing suspect equipment investigations.
• May Assist with writing and/or updating procedures to ensure efficiency, standardization, and accuracy.
• Assist & Support the Design Services Engineers in any capacity that is needed.
• Perform other work as required.

What are we looking for?

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $68,000 - $75,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
