Amgen is hiring a Process Engineer for night shift to optimize manufacturing processes and improve equipment reliability across a GMP environment. You will support non-standard shifts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain continuous operations.

As an individual contributor, you will manage maintenance strategies, troubleshoot issues, and analyze KPIs to drive improvements while ensuring compliance with EHS and regulatory requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments, preferably biotech/pharma.

• Apply engineering principles to optimize processes, improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support for daily operations, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
• Own and manage equipment in the CMMS, including work orders, PM strategies and spare parts management.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain to improve maintenance and efficiency.
• Analyze KPIs and use data-driven methods to reduce downtime and improve processes.
• Support non-standard shift operations including nights and weekends.
• Support automation solutions and digital tools for process control and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and EHS guidelines.
• Assist with deviations, equipment qualification, process validation and CAPA management.
• Provide training to operators and maintenance staff on new processes and best practices.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through ROI assessments.

What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will play a key part in enhancing equipment performance and ensuring manufacturing efficiency. You will provide proactive and reactive technical engineering support, focusing on maintaining continuous operations, optimizing processes, and improving equipment reliability. This role includes supporting non-standard shift manufacturing operations, including nights and weekends.

• Apply engineering principles to solve moderate-scope challenges, optimize processes, and improve equipment performance.
• Provide technical support for daily operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance strategy, and performance analysis.
• Own and manage equipment in CMMS, including work orders, preventive maintenance (PM) strategies, and spare parts management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain) to enhance maintenance strategies, reliability assessments, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize data-driven methodologies to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime.
• Support non-standard shift manufacturing operations as needed, including nights and weekends.
• Support automation solutions, digital tools, and emerging technologies to enhance process control and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines.
• Support manufacturing and quality systems, including deviations, equipment qualification, process validation, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) management.
• Provide training and mentorship to operators, maintenance personnel, and team members on new processes, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives, assessing ROI for process and equipment improvements.

Basic Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering
• OR
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering & 2 years of Engineering and/or Manufacturing support experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in a GMP-regulated environment, particularly in pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
• Proficiency in reliability engineering concepts (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, preventive maintenance).
• Strong organizational and technical writing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
• Experience with CMMS systems, preferably MAXIMO.
