Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking an Engineer in San Diego, CA for a 6‑month engagement. The role involves supporting design, development, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software, plus writing documentation and participating in testing and integration activities.

The candidate will analyze needs, design small features, and contribute to reviews, regression tests, and issue triage. Strong programming in C/C++ and scripting in Perl/Python is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering or related field.

• Applies software knowledge to assist and support the design, development, creation, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
• Analyzes user needs and software requirements.
• Designs and implements small software features for products and systems.
• Participates in design, coding for small features, unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Assists with code reviews, regression testing, and issue triaging to ensure code quality.
• Collaborates with project team members to accomplish project objectives.
• Writes technical documentation for software projects.
