Responsibilities

  • Support and execute equipment and system decommissioning projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate commissioning and decommissioning activities while adhering to procedures.
  • Manage change control processes and perform risk assessments related to equipment and system retirement.
  • Maintain GDP-compliant technical documentation and records management.
  • Perform impact assessments to evaluate operational, quality, validation, and compliance implications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Validation and other stakeholders.
  • Support asset lifecycle management, including retirement planning and documentation closure.
  • Ensure regulatory and internal compliance through all project phases.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues that may delay projects.
  • Track milestones, priorities, and deliverables for timely completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance processes and project execution.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and updates to management.

mîrus Consulting Group is a local company based in Humacao, Puerto Rico that provides computer system validation and information technology consulting services to pharmaceutical companies and other organizations across the Island and parts of the United States. Its services include the assessment and validation of automation equipment, network infrastructures and business processes, as well as the project management involved.

Position Summary

The Engineer will be responsible for supporting and executing equipment and system decommissioning activities within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, project coordination capabilities, and thorough knowledge of documentation, change control, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure decommissioning projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and execute equipment and system decommissioning projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate commissioning and decommissioning activities while ensuring adherence to project requirements and applicable procedures.
  • Manage change control processes and perform risk assessments associated with equipment and system modifications or retirement.
  • Maintain compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ensure accurate technical documentation and records management.
  • Perform impact assessments to evaluate operational, quality, validation, and compliance implications of decommissioning activities.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Validation, and other stakeholders throughout project execution.
  • Support asset lifecycle management activities, including equipment retirement planning and documentation closure.
  • Ensure regulatory and internal compliance requirements are met during all project phases.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues that may impact project timelines or operational objectives.
  • Track project milestones, priorities, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, compliance, efficiency, and project execution.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and documentation to management and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering; OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience.
