Job summary

Comcast is seeking a data platform software engineer in a hybrid role to develop data pipelines on Unix, using SQL Server and Oracle, and to build large-scale data warehouse solutions with Teradata.

You will develop reports in Tableau, perform data ingestions with Informatica, and manage data storage with Hadoop and Spark, while enabling integrations with ServiceNow, Jira, and MS Teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing data pipeline software on Unix operating system, using SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Developing reports using Tableau.
• Performing data ingesting and processing using Informatica.
• Working with large datasets of at least 10 TB (terabytes).

• Build interactive data visualization dashboards with existing and newly developed KPI/Metrics.
• Create seamless integrations across various platforms, including Service Now, Jira, and MS Teams.
• Monitor end user support and facilitate communication across work streams to measure satisfaction in troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Establish observability to measure metrics, traces, and logs.
• Create observability dashboard and service level objectives (SLOs) in order to proactively avoid incidents in the environment.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
• Conduct analysis to determine integration needs.
