Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Level II engineer to apply technical expertise to complex problems with some supervision. The role emphasizes independent work, accurate documentation, and ongoing professional development within a team that supports utility and engineering services.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC program or equivalent, and 2–4 years of engineering experience. Strong written and verbal communication across diverse teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering Program OR an approved evaluation of non-ABET credentials by NCEES OR graduation from a Master’s or Doctoral Program in Engineering from an institution with EAC/ABET accredited Undergraduate Engineering Programs.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience as a practicing engineer
  • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.
  • Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Position Overview

This is the second level of the Engineering classification. Provide engineering/technical expertise to solve more complex problems in a specific area of expertise, with some supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence.


Duties & Responsibilities
