Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking an experienced engineer to design, model, develop and test components for power generation systems. The role focuses on evaluating designs, integrating components, and ensuring quality, safety and cost targets are met.

The position entails supporting capital projects at a Fort St. Vrain-based facility, performing design reviews, and maintaining design basis accountability while guiding technical questions and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in power plant, plant engineering, reliability engineering, or industrial facility operations.
• Experience with combined cycle power plants.
• Familiarity with simple-cycle combustion turbine projects.
• Experience in P&ID reviews.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for capital project execution at Fort St. Vrain power plant, including design reviews.
• Maintain design basis accountability and provide technical oversight for capital projects.
• Support new combustion turbine projects (Units 7 & 8) and review technical questions.
• Ensure engineering standards are met across projects.
• Backfill engineer on extended paternity leave.

Job Description

Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles. Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates. Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes. Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for capital project execution at the Fort St. Vrain power plant. Responsibilities include design reviews, maintaining design basis accountability, technical oversight for capital projects, supporting new combustion turbine projects (Units 7 & 8), reviewing technical questions, and ensuring engineering standards are met. This position is backfilling an engineer on extended paternity leave.

Qualifications

• Combined cycle power plant experience
• Fossil power plant / power generation experience
