Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Pennington, NJ, seeks a senior Big Data professional to lead real-time data processing initiatives using Kafka, Flink/Storm, and NoSQL databases. The role requires 5+ years in industry with 3+ hands-on in real-time systems, and strong distributed design skills.

You will work with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Python/Scala/Java, and Tableau for data visualization, delivering robust, scalable solutions and security-conscious data integration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience, with 3+ years hands-on in Big Data/real-time processing.
• Proficient with Kafka streaming technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, HBase).
• Proficient in Python, Scala, Java, Bash/Shell scripting.
• Strong problem-solving and business-critical solution delivery.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data partitioning and fault tolerance.
• Experience with Flink or Storm.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of ML algorithms for data analysis and predictive modeling (Python/R).
• Knowledge of Data Integration and Data Security (Kerberos).
• Experience with Tableau for data visualization.

Job description

• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, with at least 3 years focused on hands-on work in Big Data and real-time data processing technologies.
• Proficiency in real-time streaming technologies like Kafka (KStreams, KTable)
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases like Redis, MongoDB, or HBase.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, and Bash/Shell Scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to deliver effective solutions for business-critical applications.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data partitioning, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Experience with additional real-time streaming technologies like Flink or Storm.
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Working knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and programming languages (Python or R) to conduct data analysis and develop predictive models.
• Proficiency in Data Integration and Data Security within real-time and Big Data ecosystems, including knowledge of Kerberos.
• Strong command of Visual Analytics Tools, with a focus on Tableau.

Salary Range - $95,000-$115,000 a year
